- Outstanding design - Duravit again acclaimed at the German Design Award 2022. The jury of the German Design Award 2022 has commended Duravit for its outstanding product and communication design. The bathroom designer reaped the accolades “Winner” and “Special Mention” in each of the categories “Excellent Product Design - Bath and Wellness” and “Excellent Communications Design - Integrated Campaigns and Advertising”.
White Tulip is the first full bathroom created entirely by Philippe Starck. The opulent product range was crowned “Winner” at the German Design Award. Every component is extraordinary and exquisite, mirroring the organic silhouette of a tulip in bloom and creating an almost sculptural, delicate character. The associated range of faucets was also awarded the title of “Winner”. The White Tulip faucets testify to extravagant attention to detail. The consistent design element is the handle that slants slightly outwards and is extremely easy and pleasant to operate thanks to its smoothly polished surface. High-quality workmanship and the utmost perfectionism are apparent in the 160 narrow, vertically engraved stripes that give the faucet its particularly refined character.
D-Neo offers premium quality and sophisticated design at an attractive entry-level price. The extraordinary complete bathroom range was Duravit’s second innovation from 2021 to win three awards – with an accolade as “Winner” for the D-Neo faucets plus a “Special Mention” for the series as a whole as well as the associated communication campaign.
D-Neo will outlast short-lived trends and is the perfect accompaniment to daily life of any lifestyle in all its facets. The first complete bathroom range by Belgian designer Bertrand Lejoly is testament to his extraordinary instinct for interior design. Their sleek forms create the space into which individual style can unfold, with design elements that represent much more than mere functionality. Understated yet expressive - the faucets stand out thanks to their straight-lined, geometric shape. The characteristically narrow, vertically positioned handle is standard throughout the entire range.
The diversity of D-Neo is also reflected in the award-winning communication campaign. Under the strapline “THIS IS NEO”, the campaign showcases D-Neo in four different styles and variants, in each case brought to life through authentic everyday moments. - 4 RED DOT DESIGN AWARDS FOR THE ZUCCHETTI GROUP - The Zucchetti Group has won four prestigious Red Dot Awards for Product Design 2021 in the bathroom category: one for each of the new collections submitted by the Zucchetti and Kos brands. The Helm and Medameda tap collections, designed for Zucchetti by David Lopez Quincoces and Alberto and Francesco Meda, respectively, and the bathroom vanity unit collections Beam and Rise, designed for Kos by Visibility and the creative duo known as Zaven, respectively, have been recognised thanks to their excellent, high-quality design, chosen among hundreds of other proposals from more than 60 countries around the world by the prestigious international jury.
In particular, the Beam collection was named Red Dot: Best of the Best, the highest recognition of the contest, reserved for the most innovative product in its category. The collection, composed of a sit-on washbasin in Cristalplant® Biobased (available in three colours) and a shelf unit, interestingly combines archetypes of product design and architecture with contemporary style.
‘We have won many awards over the years, but it is an honour and a thrill each and every time—this year in particular, having received 4 Red Dot Awards, one for each of the products submitted. Our most recent collaborations with international professionals have further enhanced the attention given to design and quality, a constant in the DNA of all Zucchetti and Kos products. I would also like to emphasize that we have never failed to take into account the needs of contemporary domesticity and environmental sustainability, also through the use of materials such as steel, for the first time in the Helm collection, and Cristalplant® Biobased for the washbasins in the Kos Beam and Rise collections’, explained Elena Zucchetti.
